Courtney was honored this month to be named OMRF’s next Vice President of Research. She will take over the position on 3/6/23, when Dr. Rod McEver retires from the role. She is looking forward to helping OMRF in this new capacity while continuing to run her lab.
Travel Award for Oral Presentation
Congrats to Rahul for winning a 1st place Travel Award for his recent talk at the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center Research Symposium. Rahul will use this award to attend the Gordon Conference on “IGF and Insulin System in Physiology and Disease” next March.

Congrats to Bridget for successfully defending her Master’s thesis on CHD4 and retinal angiogenesis today. We’re excited to see Bridget tackle the next phase of her career as a Scientific Communications Specialist for Dr. Judith James at OMRF. Way to go, Bridget!

The lab is just back from the terrific and long-anticipated IVBM 2022 meeting in Oakland. Chris, Melinda, Charmain, and Rahul all presented posters on their current projects, and Rahul was honored with a NAVBO travel award. A major highlight of the meeting was catching up with friends, colleagues, and past lab members.
