We’re so proud of Dr. Rahul Rajala who was recently awarded the 2026 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine! What a terrific acknowledgement of all his hard work while studying endothelial PARs.

New lab manuscript about embryonic liver vasculature

We are pleased to announce Melinda’s new Development manuscript about detrimental interactions between plasmin and sterile inflammation in the embryonic liver. It highlights interesting new roles for the chromatin remodeling enzymes BRG1 and CHD4 in hepatic endothelial cells.

2026 David A. Dichek Mid-Career Investigator Award

Courtney was honored to receive the 2026 David A. Dichek Mid-Career Investigator Award, presented by the ATVB journal at the Vascular Discovery 2026 conference. Best Postdoc Paper Award

The lab is celebrating Eric Ma’s “Best Postdoc Paper of 2025” award at the recent OMRF scientific retreat. This award recognizes Eric’s exciting PNAS paper describing approaches for preventing retinal capillary regression in early stages of retinopathies. Congrats, Eric!
