We are grateful for the dedication and hard work of two individuals departing our lab this month. Anna Drozd spent the last year with us as a Visiting Scholar from the University of Lodz in Poland. She worked closely with Matt Menendez in studying the role of BRG1 in lymphatic development. We are excited that she is entering a PhD program at the University of Copenhagen this fall. Jocelyn Rodriguez spent three weeks with us as a Saxon Scholar studying the interaction of CHD3 and CHD4 in early vascular development with Chris Schafer. She will start her junior year this fall at the U.S. Naval Academy. Both of these young women were an asset to our lab, and we’ll miss their wonderful personalities and sharp scientific minds. Best of luck in your future endeavors, Anna and Jocelyn!
